On June 27, the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition convened in person for its first official meeting, and its newest members were sworn-in by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Xavier Becerra. The President’s Council is a federal advisory committee with a mission to improve the nation’s health by educating, engaging, and empowering people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities to adopt a healthy lifestyle that includes regular physical activity and good nutrition.
